Christmas Greetings

Christmas greetings from the ruralgirlgraphics.com blog!

Just a note here to extend my warmest greetings for the holiday season 2020. I’m sure you will all agree, this year has been a challenging one. I know I’m not alone in saying that I am a different person than I was last Christmas. So much of what we took for granted last year has been altered beyond recognition. Gatherings, celebrations, shopping – all of it is much different this year than any year before. It makes it hard to get your bearings. What will our Christmastide look like this year?

My hope for you (and for myself) is for us to find a sweet, simple, loving celebration of all the things we love about this season. The pandemic has caused us all to rethink how we do almost everything. Maybe we should take this hint and really think about how we celebrate this year. Maybe expectations should be managed a bit. Maybe we should try to distill what this season means to us and focus on those most important things. I’m willing to bet that will include the people we love most. While we may not be able to gather in person, one of the beauties of the modern world is our ability to connect through the magic of technology.

As an artist, much of what I love about the Christmas season is the imagery. The pictures adorning this blog are the Christmas cards I’ve created for my friends and family over the years. I hope you enjoy them. If any of them strike a chord with you, I can say that most of them can be obtained as a print of the original artwork. Just use the “contact” feature to let me know, and we can work that out.

Please accept my warmest holiday greetings to you and yours! One thing this difficult year has taught us is to treasure the relationships we have with others. I hope this Christmas will live in your memory as one of the warmest, most sincere, and meaningful Christmases in your life. We have everything we need for that to be so. We just have to open our hearts and minds and to focus on what’s important. Merry Christmas!
